Project No. BG-RRP-1.009-0010 "Construction of a Youth Center in Botevgrad Municipality" is being implemented by Botevgrad Municipality with funding under the Recovery and Resilience Mechanism within the framework of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan.

The project is aimed at creating a modern, sustainable and functional youth center that will meet the real needs of young people in the Botevgrad municipality and the region.

The project sets the following specific objectives:

• Creating a safe, motivating and developing environment for young people in the municipality of Botevgrad;

• Promoting active youth participation, volunteering and civic engagement;

• Increasing the digital, language and entrepreneurial skills of young people;

• Improving employability and opportunities for successful employment;

• Reducing the proportion of young people dropping out of the education system;

• Education in values such as democracy, human rights and the rule of law;

• Building sustainable partnerships between local authorities, businesses, educational institutions and civic organizations.

Through the Youth Center - Botevgrad, trainings, courses and initiatives aimed at:

• digital and qualification skills;

• foreign language training;

• entrepreneurship and financial literacy;

• non-formal education and civic participation;

• volunteering and social engagement.

The Center will develop its own capacity to work with young people and provide support for the implementation of youth ideas and initiatives, with a focus on the inclusion of young people from vulnerable social groups, including Roma.

The project is being implemented in partnership with the "Youth Movement for Rural Development in Bulgaria", an active local youth organization, which will support the implementation of the activities.

The main target group is young people from Botevgrad municipality aged 13–29, including representatives of vulnerable groups. The project is planned to reach a minimum of 450 young people, with at least 20% of them coming from vulnerable groups.
